Ante up for the World Championship of Online Poker

2006 WCOOP main event winner JC Tran
By Erik Sylven
The sixth World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) kicks off on PokerStars Friday. A total of 23 events will be played, and the poker site has put up $15 million in guaranteed prize money.
No-Limit Texas Hold'em is the dominant game, with eight events, but the WCOOP has something for all poker players. Two new games have been added to the schedule this year - 5-Card Draw and 2-7 Triple-Draw.
The interest in the WCOOP has grown year by year, and so have the prize pools. In 2002, main event winner MultiMarine of Sweden took home $65,450. Last year, pro player JC Tran won the title, and cashed out over $600,000.
