Alex Rodriguez plays poker again - for charity
By Lianne Elias
Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez has once again made headlines because of his poker exploits, although this time for an undeniably good cause. Together with a slew of celebrity and sports personalities, Rodriguez will be hosting the Second Annual Dewar's 12 Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament on Saturday, January 21, in Florida.
The Second Annual Dewar's 12 Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Miami and play host to more than 300 guests, including Michael Jordon, Jay-Z, Lenny Kravitz, Phil Hellmuth, Gary Sheffield, Glenn Rice, and Vin Diesel.
The main attraction of the evening, however, will be the 100-player, single elimination poker tournament where first place finisher will be awarded a one-year lease on a Mercedes-Benz C230WZ courtesy of Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz.
