Action Dan and Tom Schneider make WPT final table

Action Dan Harrington has his sights set on first place at the 2007 WPT: Legends of Poker.
In one of the most exciting final tables in recent memory 2007 WSOP player of the year Tom Schneider and Dan Harrington will face off at the 2007 WPT: Legends of Poker.
The two high-profile players come into the final day of the tournament with first and second in the chip count. Schneider, who is sometimes known as the "Donkey Bomber," is first with 3.5 million in chips while "Action Dan" has 2.2 million.
Schneider used to be known primarily as a cash game player but in recent months he's developed a reputation as a fierce tournament player. He was absolutely red hot at the WSOP winning not only his first gold bracelet but also his second. His first bracelet, which let's face it is usually the hardest, came in Event 5, $1,500 Omaha 8 or Better/Seven-Card Stud. The most impressive thing about his first WSOP victory was who it came against. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Annie Duke and John "The Razor" Phan sat down at the same final table but it was the Donkey Bomber who walked away with the victory.
Later in the year Schneider played in Event 46, $1,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo Eight or Better where he had to contend with the incomparable Scotty Nguyen at the final table. Eventually, though, Schneider again came away the champ.
Yesterday Schneider secured his spot at the final table when he laid a pretty sick bad beat on Joe Sebok and busted him out of the tournament. Sebok was one of the favorites to win the tournament and it was a thrilling final hand (at least for Schneider). To see how it went down check out our live tournaments section here.
With the year he's having no one would be surprised if Schneider once again proved victorious at a final table. Check out our interview with Tom Schneider as he gets prepared for the final table.
The other extremely well-established pro at the WPT: Legends of Poker final table is none other than Harrington. Harrington is one of the most respected players in the game today and has penned arguably the best book on poker - Harrington on Hold'em. Before poker the former attorney excelled at both chess and backgammon.
Harrington burst onto the poker scene when he won two bracelets at the 1995 WSOP. One of them was the Main Event. Incredibly Harrington also made the Main Event final table in both 2003 and 2004 finishing third and fourth respectively.
It has been a few years since Harrington won a major poker tournament but you can be sure that his eyes are planted firmly on first place in today's final table.
Also of note at the final table is David "The Dragon" Pham. Although perhaps not as well-known as Harrington or Schneider, The Dragon has been breathing fire throughout the poker circuit this year. Pham took down the $5,000 Heads-Up Mirage Poker Showdown for $135,200 in May and before that he placed third in the WPT World Poker Challenge in Reno.
Whatever happens it's sure to be a truly thrilling final table full of memorable characters. PokerListing.com's very own Matt Showell and Erin Warner are on the scene so check out our live updates as they happen.
