Absolute Poker has begun its "International College Model Search" for a spokesperson to represent their college marketing programs around the world. The winner will star in television spots and print ads, and will represent the company at live poker events across the globe, including the "Win Your Tuition" live final in New York City.
"We have a great relationship with college students around the world and they've been asking us for more tournaments such as Absolute Poker's 'Win Your Tuition,' programs like our college internship program and event sponsorships," said Mike Edwards, an Absolute Poker marketing manager. "We're excited to find the perfect face to represent all of these efforts."
The search kicked off today and will run for six weeks before the winner is selected and announced. Those interested in applying must submit a photograph, their resume, and a one page summary explaining why they'd be perfect for the job. Applications should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The new spokesperson will be representing the largest collegiate-based tournament in the world. "Win Your Tuition," which was launched in 2005 by Absolute Poker, attracts students from 300 schools in 17 different countries. Winner of the online freeroll receives a check for a semester's tuition at any college or university.
Past winners have included Spring 2005 tournament champion Derek Dilberian from University of Florida Law School and Jeremy Olisar, a student at Carnegie Mellon University who won the Fall 2005 event.
