A dozen ways to win a WSOP seat at Sportsbook Poker

The Money

The magic number at Sportsbook Poker is twelve. That's how many 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event packages they're giving away, not to mention the packages will be worth $12,000 each.

For the next 12 Sundays, the poker site will host a multi-table Texas Hold'em tournament at 5 p.m. (EPT), giving away one WSOP prize package.

The tournament has a $100 buy-in, but there are also four other ways you can win your way into the Sunday event for less:

  • Freeroll satellites
  • Sit-and-go cash satellites
  • Multi-table tournament cash satellites
  • Gold Chip tournaments

Mondays through Saturdays, freeroll satellites will run twice a day at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The top 10 players in each satellite will automatically receive a seat in the Sunday event.

The freerolls are guaranteed to draw a crowd, so if you're looking for a little more elbow room, the cash satellites may work better for you.

The sit-and-go satellites start at $10, and the multi-table tournaments range from $5-$25. The complete schedule for both types is available in the tournament lobby.

Another free option to win your way into the Sunday tournament is the Gold Chip tournaments. Throughout the week, there will be satellite events that cost only a Gold Chip.

Gold Chips are earned by playing real-money ring games or tournaments.
