888poker Super Stack Series Doubles in Size
The second year of the 888poker Super Stack Series was a big hit drawing over 4,000 poker players to 23 events that took place around the world.
The low-buy-in tournament series paid out $951,000 in prizepools in 2012. Many players qualified for their entry online on 888poker.
“We never expected the Super Stack series to blow up like it did,” said Director of 888poker Gareth Edwards. “The feedback from the players has been phenomenal and it’s great to watch the series spread to so many new territories.”
The United Kingdom’s Mark Greening won 888poker Super Stack Player of the Year by finishing on top of the series’ leaderboard.
Greening will receive free entry into every 2013 Super Stack event. It’s a prize worth more than $8,000.
888poker is expanding the Super Stack Series even further in 2013 with 27 events.
Some of the highlight locations of the 2013 Super Stack Series include Malta, Ibiza, Sheffield and Barcelona. You can see the complete 2013 Super Stack Series schedule on superstack.net.
The first leg of the series will take place on Jan. 25 in London.
