888.com to host third U.K. Poker Open

888.com will host its third U.K. Poker Open this fall from Sept. 25 through Oct. 8. Poker pros as well as online qualifiers will participate in the televised event.

More than $1 million was shared between 18 players at last year's tournament. The $500,000 first prize went to Ian Frazer, from the U.K.

Satellites are going on now at 888.com's online poker room, Pacific Poker, through Sept. 16 giving players a chance to win a $7,500 prize package to the event.

There are sub-satellites daily where players can win their way into a regular daily satellite for as little as 50¢ for the sit-and-go game or $3.20 at a multi-table game. Winners of the regular daily satellites will compete every Sunday for a U.K. Poker Open prize package that includes the buy-in for the event and travel expenses.

Those who don't win their way into the Sunday satellite can also buy their way in for $105. Registration is currently open, but seats are limited.
