888.com Poker Open V qualifiers get under way

Qualifiers are running now on 888.com for an $8,500 prize package, including a seat in the 888.com Poker Open V.

The site is offering multi-table satellites for as low as $3, and sit-and-gos for $6 that can get players a seat in the super-satellite Poker Open V Qualifier. The cost to buy directly in to the qualifiers (which run every Saturday at 4 p.m. PPT) is $300+$30.

The Poker Open V is scheduled to run from Oct. 27 to Nov. 7, 2008, with the venue in Maidstone, England. The live event, which will be televised, boasts a guaranteed $648,000 prize pool, and will feature many top pros and celebrities, including Shane Warne, Dennis Taylor and last year's champion Andre Feldman.
