Ever thought it would be nice to be able to remember the details of great moments in poker, like what hand Puggy Pearson flopped to beat Bobby Huff's trip fours in the third World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event? Well now there is a new way to enjoy World Series of Poker history in the form of a beautiful book by Mark Rogers.
52 Greatest Moments World Series of Poker is a coffee-table book that relives some of the greatest moments in WSOP history. The book features great pictures, fitting quotes and intelligent storytelling, while reenacting great moments in poker history from 1970 until 2006.
Each featured moment is presented on two pages containing "The Setup" where the circumstances of the hand is told and "The Moment" where the hand plays out and is commented on. The pages also contain quotes from people involved in the particular moment and some WSOP facts relating to the event. The book also sports a picture gallery of the champions of the WSOP.
52 Greatest Moments World Series of Poker is a beautiful book in every sense - the picture quality is great, the text is well written and the author has managed to marry situations with facts and quotes in an exemplary way. This book is recommended to anyone interested in poker history and the world's richest tournament, the World Series of Poker. It is a great conversation piece and well suited for autograph collection.
The book totals 157 pages.
