The buzz behind the mysterious International Stadiums Poker Tour and its debut $30 million guaranteed tournament is growing.

Another new project of the Bernard Tapie Group along with its potential takeover of Full Tilt Poker, the ISPT is apparently set to debut in Sept. 2012 at Wembley Stadium in London according to new information revealed on the ISPT website.

First surfacing last week as details of the BTG acquisition of Full Tilt emerged, the ISPT is a new “mega” tournament that will be hosted once a year in renowned stadiums around the world.

Running over five days and culminating in a $10 million first-place prize, the Wembley tournament will have the largest-ever field assembled for a live poker tournament.

Qualifying will be done through to-be-determined online poker partners beginning in January 2012, with 20,000-30,000 players comprising the first group of qualifiers that will start play on Day 1 on electronic terminals set up in the stadium.

3,000 of those players will make it to the next day of play and move to real poker tables set up on the field.

Each of these players will earn a piece of the $30 million guaranteed prize pool.

Day 3 will have 1,000 players to start and play down to 250. Day 4 will play down to the final table of 10 who will split the remaining $17 million.

While the final dates for the tournament won’t be released until the English national soccer team calendar has been published, the ISPT does already list major companies Orange and IMG as sponsoring partners.

The founders of the ISPT are listed as Bernard Tapie, Laurent Tapie and Prosper Masquelier, the co-creator of the first poker show broadcast on French TV and a former president of Partouche Interactive.
