The Venetian - home of the Deep Stack Extravaganza tournaments

Las Vegas casino the Venetian will continue its Deep Stack Extravaganza (DSE) tournaments in 2008. Two series will be held, one in February and one in June.

The February 2008 Deep Stack Extravaganza Series will feature a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Championship event, with $15,000 in starting chips, and there will be Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo and H.O.R.S.E. tournaments as well.

Buy-ins in the side events will range from $300 + 30 with $6,000 in starting chips, to $1,000 + 60 with $10,000 in starting chips. Satellites to all tournaments will be available at The Venetian.

Kathy Raymond, director of poker operations for the Venetian, is excited about the upcoming DSE events.

"With lower buy-ins, larger chip counts, more play and great blind structures and our luxurious, spacious, and exquisitely decorated poker room, these tournaments are like no other in Vegas," said Raymond.

Several big names have played in DSE events in the past, including 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion Chris Moneymaker, Marsha Wagoner and Kenna James.

Note: The exact dates for the 2008 Deep Stack Extravaganza Series events are to be announced.
