Five players who made it to last year's final table in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event are still in contention in the 2007 WSOP tournament. Doyle Brunson, Patrik Antonius, T.J. Cloutier and Jim Bechtel were, however, knocked out on the second day of the 2007 H.O.R.S.E. world championship.

When play on Day 2 was stopped, 52 players remained in the tournament, and among those we find David Singer, Andy Bloch, Phil Ivey, Dewey Tomko and Chip Reese - all of who made it to the final table in the 2006 WSOP H.O.R.S.E. tournament.

Phil Ivey, Andy Bloch, Chip Reese and David Singer are all in the top 20 while Dewey Tomko is rather short-stacked and has some cathing up to do.

Other big names in good position in the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E. event include Eli Elezra, Allen Cunningham, Mike Matusow, Freddy Deeb, John Juanda, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, David Williams and Greg Raymer. John Hanson is the chip leader.

Aside from Brunson, Antonius, Bechtel and Cloutier, lots of other world-class players were knocked out on Day 2, including Gavin Smith, Phil Laak, Todd Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, Ted Forrest, Michael Mizrachi, Robert Williamson III, Carlos Mortensen, Jennifer Harman, Tony G, and Mike Sexton.

Day 3 starts off at 2 p.m. (PDT) and of course you can read all the latest live updates and see all the best photos in the Live Tournaments Section here at PokerListings.com

Otherwise on Day 25 of the 2007 WSOP, Event 38, $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em was completed with Robert Cheung taking first place, a gold bracelet and $673,628 in prize money.

Event 40, $1,500 Mixed Hold'em was played down to the final table and two new tournaments got underway: Event 41, $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em and Event 42, $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo.
