Blair Rodman finally got his first World Series of Poker bracelet

Blair Rodman defeated Amato Galasso heads-up to win Event 47, $2,000 No-Limit Holdem at the 2007 World Series of Poker. The victory gave Rodman his first WSOP bracelet and $707,898 in prize money.

It was a long and tough heads-up match for the title, and Blair Rodman needed some luck to end it. In the final hand, Rodman was all-in pre-flop with A-J against Amato Galasso's A-K, but caught a jack on the flop and won the tournament.

Rising star Anna Wroblewski finished in fourth place in Event 47, while former WPT and EPT winner Roland De Wolfe busted out in sixth.

Event 48, $1,000 2-7 Triple Draw w/ rebuys was completed as well. Rafi Amit won the tournament and took home $227,005 in prize money.

Otherwise on day 31 of the 2007 WSOP:

Event 49, $1,500 No-Limit Holdem was played down to the final table.Taylor Douglas tops the field ahead of Leandro Pimentel and Ray Spencer. 

The $10,000 World Championship Pot-Limit Omaha event got underway with its opening day. 314 players entered the tournament and will compete for the $768,889 first prize.

Event 51, $1,000 S.H.O.E. started as well, with stars such as Daniel Negreanu, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Cyndy Violette and Erik Seidel in the starting field.
