$1m guarantee draws crowd to FTOPS Event 1

The FTOPS XI host with the most? That remains to be seen.

Thousands of players were drawn in by the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XI's $1 million guaranteed prize pool for Event 1 Wednesday evening.

Getting the best of it was muckducks, who defeated the field of 6,275 players to rake in a $216,512.60 payday. In all, 738 players walked away with a piece of the prize pool, which had ballooned to $1.255 million.

Among the crowd of cashers in this $200+$16 No-Limit Hold'em event were a few familiar names. Lee Watkinson finished in 211th place with Brandon Adams, Trond Eidsvig, Diego Cordovez and Esther Rossi all joining him in the money.

Howard Lederer also got this FTOPS series started off right by cashing in the event while also playing host.

The FTOPS XI continues today at Full Tilt Poker with two more events. The first got under way at 2 p.m. ET with Rino Mathis hosting.

The second event is a $200+$16 Stud event hosted by Cyndy Violette. It is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET.
